This is my first book, "Ferreting Around". The book walks the
reader through making a sampler quilt, similar to the one shown on
the cover. Each chapter aims to teach a new technique. The book is
suitable for beginners, yet should still be able to challenge the
more experienced quilter, and features a foreword by Ricky Tims.

"Dawn And Dusk" is a reversible quilt-as-you-go pattern. I'd made the "Under The Rainbow" pattern but wanted to do something else with the fabrics without the constraint of having to use the entire range in one quilt, and this was the result. The design self centres so the front and back will align with each other. |

"Cancertown" is a graphic novel written by Cy Dethan and illustrated by Steven Downey. A scene from the book was used as the inspiration for my quilt "Bad rain". Vince Morley is a man with big problems and a brain tumour the size of a baby's fist, living with one foot in a monstrous alternate world he calls Cancertown. When the lost and dispossessed of London start tripping over the same cracks in reality he spends his life avoiding, Morley realises he must confront the residents of Cancertown - and risk finding his place among them. |
