Monet's paintings of his gardens inspired me to make this quilt. I could imagine his bridge in spring, surrounded by blossom. His painting style also influenced the pieces of fabric used. I chose to limit myself to square and rectangular pieces of fabric, to mimic the strokes seen in his and other impressionist paintings.
