Exhibition

My first solo exhibition will be held at the Dissenters' Gallery in Kensal Green between March 7th 2008 and April 7th 2008. The gallery is open between 9am and 5pm every Saturday, Sunday and Monday during that period, and also on Good Friday.

On each Monday, I will be holding events at the gallery. These are as follows:

Monday 10th March, 1pm start

Talk: "Quilter? Artist? Lunatic?". Followed by tea and cakes. There is a £3 charge for attending this talk.

Monday 17th March, 10:30am

Tutorial: "From photographs to fabric". There is a £10 charge for attending this turorial.

Monday 24th March, 10:30am - 4:30pm

Come and sew. Bring some hand sewing, and enjoy working (and chatting) with like minded people.

Monday 31st March, 10:30am - 4:30pm

Workshop: "Art quilts by numbers". Spend the day turning your scraps into a work of art. The method used in this class is the same as that used in my award winning "Nude Triptych" quilt. The technique used gives a texture similar to that of oil painting. There will also be discussion of how to turn your own images into patterns suitable for this style of quilt. There is a £10 charge for attending this workshop, plus a £10 fee for material, which will be supplied.

Although you don't need to book in advance for attending any of these events, it would greatly help if you could drop me a note if you're planning to attend, so that I have some idea of numbers to expect. I hope to see you there!
